Turtle on a globe, diluted ink, pencil and felt-tip pens, format 44 x 36 cm. I had been friends with the artist from Turkey since 1971. The work
was created in 1974 during his one-week visit to me, with the few utensils he found on my desk during my work-related absence. At his request, I added names of countries I had visited to the shell. He taught at the Atatürk Educational Institute (Istanbul) and had many successful exhibitions. Gifts are 2 more pictures and a still life by his wife Bedia, but without a turtle motif. A large oil painting (signed 1975) shows the view from their summer house in Kilyos (he was a guest there) of the wide bay on the Black Sea.
