Commissioned work, the pictures made of linen are created on the damask loom (damask weaving from Damascus since around 600 AD), unique piece, original size 60 x 60 cm. The hand weaving master (who trained as a weaver at Tegernsee, worked as a journeyman and graduated from the weaving master school in Sindelfingen) has had her own workshop in Munich since 1996. Her specialty is her innovative works, but also weavings based on historical models for castles, museums or clubs. She also develops wall hangings for church rooms, for example. She has been represented several times in the Galerie Handwerk (Munich), among others. There, in the “Weaving Tradition and Innovation” catalog, their powerful, approximately 100-year-old Jacquard loom (controlled by a punch card) is even shown. The millennia-old history of hand weaving was added to the nationwide register of intangible cultural heritage in 2023. This handicraft received new impetus in Germany thanks to the artists of the “Bauhaus” (1919 - 1932). She also repeatedly creates textile pictures (on stretcher frames). Her works were last seen in exhibitions at the Bavarian Decorative Arts Association in Munich in 2025 and 2026 (the studio's 30th anniversary).
