Detail view artifact.

Cast (biological resin, 80% from rapeseed and corn oil, with the addition of color paste) of a shell of a loggerhead turtle found in Southeast Africa around 1906 (on loan from the State Zoological Collection Munich, one of the largest natural history research collections in the world *), transparent, size 48 cm. The shimmering turquoise object gets a special appeal from the lighting, and at the same time the skeleton becomes partially visible. One focus of the trained wood sculptor and designer is light installations ("Search: Bußinger"), partly in collaboration with the company Osram (e.g. at LUMINALE 2016 or at "spirit of the rainbow", Munich Airport), but also with the artist Iwan Seiko. PS * The turtle collection that was relocated was largely destroyed in World War II.
