Commissioned work, a smaller turtle silhouette made of iron was agreed, the result was a large installation made of rusted scrap (found objects), which I was spontaneously enthusiastic about. According to the trained sculptor (including a DAAD scholarship in the USA), a tortoise lives on the spatiality, including the ventral side. A longer development process has meant that he went new ways by he bent iron sheets through welds that matched the structure of the tortoise shell to construct the hollow body. The legs are made from bathtub feet, the head is made from an old fork with a counterpart. Size approx. 120 x 90 cm. I received the design drawings later. The idea and execution of the space-saving suspension (balcony) on two steel cables came from Hermann Bigelmayr. The object can be used as a gong by hitting it. In comparison, see his second work, which corresponds to the original commission.
