Commissioned work, book owner's mark, copper engraving on handmade paper with the artist's embossed blind print signet (linden seed leaf), format 13.3 x 9.5 cm, from 1993, Edition 100 plus e.a. (epreuve d`artiste). This also includes his sketches and the copper plate. There is also an interesting book (158 pages, signed, texts by C.M. and Dr. Rüdiger an der Heiden) with 65 of his Ex Libris (the artist prints all copies himself and always tries to capture the reflection of the book lover), including my copy, which is also included in one of his catalogs raisonnés (1987 - 1999). I own numerous other works (even unrelated to the topic) by this highly esteemed artist, who is a friend of mine Turtles), as well as his catalogs of works and various book illustrations (from J. v. Eichendorff to T. Mann to I. Bachmann). After the invention of the printing press, Ex Libris first flourished with A. Dürer, among others. Today these small graphics are popular collectors and exchange items.
