Commissioned work, mermaid (detail), unique, hand-made and painted, signed, size 39 cm. After an apprenticeship as a potter in Waldenburg, the artist studied ceramics (Prof. Wetzel and Prof. Möhwald) and then sculpture (Prof. Lichtenfeld) at the renowned Halle Art University, Giebichenstein Castle (as well as Sonngard Marcks, Annette Vogel, Ioan Cozacu and Luzia Werner, all of whom can be found in the Virtual Museum). Since then she has been working freelance. Her workshop is in Dresden. Exhibitions at home and abroad, including regular representation at the international pottery market in Diessen and in the Handwerk Gallery (Munich). There are still two enchanting tiles from her in the collection ("Search: Hilpert-Artes"). The balanced combination of modeling and painting leads to works that are both poetic and precisely formulated, always a sensual experience.
