I was inspired to do this commissioned work by Jan Fabre ("Turtle Brain"), congenially implemented as a unique piece by the sculptor and ceramic master (Haidhauser Herbergenhof), stoneware, free
modelled, largely white glazed, fired twice (1,220 °), the armor structure corresponds to the human brain, signed, 31 cm long and 18 cm wide. The small sea turtle (6.5 cm) with a precisely fitted plastic shell (= brain) was intended as an additional order and became a gift. We have been in good contact for years. Her work is represented in large, international collections. On the topic "Shape of the turtle"
I found a quote from Michael Ende (anniversary edition of 50 years of "MOMO"): ".... you actually have it with a wandering
Brain shell made of horn .... ". The artist is characterized in her work by enormous knowledge and a strong sense of literary and historical references (see other objects).
