In linen bound magnificent band, Verlag St. Gertrude, Hamburg, 1995, first -class layout Christoph Selke, 448 pages, format 35 x 26 cm. Has throughout his life Janssen fascinated the animal as a graphic subject and designed with more detailed observation of nature. 500 leaves were selected for this band, nine with turtle motifs (and two of them with a reference to Japan). In addition, a quote (extract) from the foreword by Werner Hofmann: "The colored tint always speaks decisively with ... comes from her ... the tortious wrinkle of a turtle, the cool smoothness of an eel". Janssen was awarded the Graphic Prize of the Biennale in Venice (the national and international awards and exhibitions are now hardly countable). He died in Oldenburg after an excessive life in 1995 and was buried in the Gertruden cemetery. The "Horst-Janssen Museum" dedicated to him and his work opened in Oldenburg in 2000. See also the mapping of two other turtle works ("Search: Janssen").
