All good things come in threes: sawn out of plywood and assembled in seven parts (see back), natural limbs, hand-painted turtle shell, size approx. 20 - 26 cm. The artist studied at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and is a dedicated art teacher at a high school in Darmstadt. Some of her works create a surreal world of fables and myths. In the Christmas exhibitions (topic: "Artistic Toys - Playful Art") at the Handwerk Gallery, Munich, she has been showing mostly cheerful-looking animals for years, most recently put to one side for me by Ms. Hügel as a precaution.
