In this picture, the artist varies the structure of real turtle shells, format approx. 20 x 20 cm. In countless sketches, she meticulously examines every detail. She herself has collected a considerable number of turtle objects. The theme is found in many of her large sculptures in public space in an extremely consistently abstracted manner, see also her excellent book (blelb-Verlag, Zurich, 2009). Our contact was made
through the wonderful book "The Secret of the Turtle" by Alexander Lauterwasser, in which we were both involved. The leaf is a gift
on the occasion of a visit to her studio.

The pattern of a turtle resembles a mathematical Voronoi diagram. We use a Voronoi diagram here, which displays exhibits on a surface partitioned according to the similarity of the pieces. The similarities of the pieces are calculated by an artificial intelligence algorithm.
