This commissioned work results in changing light refractions with beautiful, blue-shimmering reflections depending on the lighting. The tank consists of 14 colorless, arched glass layers (saw cuts) that increase in size towards the top. The color is created by a wafer-thin adhesive that is applied over the entire surface and has to dry layer by layer, signature engraved on the base, size 33cm. The artist attended the glass school in Kaufbeuren-Neugablonz, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts (Munich), worked in various glass companies and has been a freelance artist for a long time. He also "plays" with the effect of light in art installations. He is represented in museums and public collections and has won various awards (including the Water Lily Prize). His catalog "Illusion and Transparency" (with dedication) is part of the collection. Personal contact was made through the sculptor Hermann Bigelmayr. The pattern of a turtle resembles a mathematical Voronoi diagram. We use a Voronoi diagram here, which displays exhibits on a surface partitioned according to the similarity of the pieces. The similarities of the pieces are calculated by an artificial intelligence algorithm.
